Lost in the shuffle of January news and notes was word that Dr. Carolyn Turk, interim superintendent of the Cambridge Public Schools, was recognized in late January for her outstanding efforts in education.
Each year at the MLK Breakfast, the Cambridge branch of the NAACP honors citizens who have exhibited excellence in their life or work that encompass the goals and mission of the NAACP and the life and work of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
This year, Dr. Turk was recognized with the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. education award.
Congratulations Dr. Turk!
