April 14, 2010Friends Of CRLS (FOCRLS) is proud to announce the recipients of its Fourth Annual Faculty Grants program. The following CRLS faculty and staff received FOCRLS Faculty Grants:

Friends of CRLS is a 501(c)3 tax-deductible non-profit public charity founded by two parents in January 2007. The group’s mission is to raise private funds from within the Cambridge community to support and enrich the academic and social development programs at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School.

Great news about the M.L. King School
April 9, 2010• M.L. King seventh grade student Asad Lakhani of Cambridge has been named a semifinalist in the National Geographic Society-sponsored 2010 Massachusetts Geographic Bee. He will compete at Worcester State College on Friday, April 9.
• M.L. King third grade teacher, Kelly Langan, has been nominated as one of the 10 semifinalists for Massachusetts Teacher of the Year.
• A group of M.L. King 8th graders with faculty chaperones leave the morning of Friday, April 9 for a week-long trip to Hangzhou, China. They will spend time at a school in Hangzhou as well as visit the city of Shanghai. This is the fourth year that M.L. King students have traveled to China.
